Attaching an RFID label to your box or case is just like attaching a thermal label.

For shipping in a cardboard box

Step 1: Clean the surface of your box where you'll apply the label.

For best results, place the label on one of the tall, narrow ends of the box. This helps reduce the chance of the label being damaged or removed as the shipment is handled and moves along conveyor belts during transit.

Step 2: Peel off the backing, and firmly stick the label to the box.

For shipping in a bike travel case

Step 1: Peel off the backing, and stick the label to a luggage tag.

It's important to use a luggage tag because labels attached directly to most cases won’t stay stuck to the materials that they're made out of while in transit.

Step 2: Attach the luggage tag to a handle of your bike case using a heavy-duty zip tie.

Luggage tags are available at most UPS locations, or you can make your own. For more information, watch the video below.

Before shipping

Double-check your box or case to make sure there are no labels, barcodes or hazmat markings left over from a previous shipment.

  • Completely remove all previous shipping labels and barcodes

  • Completely remove or cover all hazmat markings, including stickers and printed markings.

This helps ensure your shipment is identified and processed correctly throughout transit.
